The Panthers led 12-0 with 9:53 left in the 2nd quarter. The swarming Blanco defense held the Lions again, giving the offense another chance for a scoring drive. Kyle Sauceda hauled in a 15-yard touchdown pass from Adamson. The 2-point run failed. Blanco led 18-0. The Panthers threatened to score again with one minute in the first half, but the drive was stopped by a SAC interception in the end zone.
