Dear Editor,

I just read the letter from Mr. Everett in regard to the trucks Al Niece volunteered to take to the Bastrop State Park. We wish to thank him for his help and generosity in assisting with this devastating fire. Our grandson, Tyson Brussel, was one of those TP&W people there that night. His home base is the Guadalupe State Park off Hwy 46.

We are all indebted to the many volunteer personnel who give so much time and sometimes their lives to protect us. Through the years, our family has been very involved with the Kendalia Volunteer Fire Dept., so we understand that you may receive a call at ANY time to assist with a fire, accident or whatever.

Frank and Joy Brussel

Kendalia, TX
