Blanco Student Places Second at PPK Competition
Wednesday, September 28, 2011 • Posted September 29, 2011

Blanco student Taylor K. won second place in her division at a preliminary NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick competition held on September 24 in Boerne. Her combined score of 100 feet 10.5 inches was only a few inches away from the winning score needed to advance to the sectional contest in San Antonio later this Fall.

Taylor is an avid football fan and especially loves the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and of course, the Blanco Panthers. Taylor believes her gridiron skills may run in the family since a cousin who played for both the New Orleans Saints and UT Longhorns holds the record for kicking the longest field goal in NCAA history. Taylor hopes to follow in his footsteps by competing in the “PPK” again next year.

Taylor is a fifth grader at Blanco Elementary School and is the daughter of Chris and Brooke Kotfas.
