Lady Panthers 2-0 in District Play

After sweeping the St. Mary’s Hall Knights, 3-0, on Tuesday, September 27, the Lady Panthers captured a strong district win over the Harper Lady Horns, 3-2, on Friday, September 30.

Against St. Mary’s Hall set scores were 25-20, 28-26, and 25-21. Reagan Rogers smashed ten kills, while Lindsey Jenkins made 21 assists. Micaela Klein hit five service aces and Alex Gustafson made 25 digs. Abbey Weaver hit four blocks.

The Freshmen lost a close match with set scores of 23-25 and 20-25, while the JV overwhelmed the Knights 25-8 and 25-3.

On Friday, with every point for the win, the Varsity set scores against Harper were 25-11, 23-25, 28-26, 20-25, and 15-12. Reagan Rogers again led the team with twelve kills. Lindsey Jenkins made 37 assists, Micaela Klein served three aces, Alex Gustafson made 45 digs, and Abbey Weaver made 17 blocks.

The Fresmen blanked the Lady Horns with set scores of 25-11 and 25-20. However, the JV fell to Harper 18-25 and 12-25.

The next home volleyball games are set for Friday, October 7, against the Ingram Lady Warriors at 4:00 and 5:00. The games are scheduled early to allow for homecoming festivities and the football game.
