Lady Panthers 3-1 in District Standings

The fight is fierce for a volleyball play-off position in District 8-2A. Blanco, Comfort, and Harper have battled five sets against each other with Comfort leading 4-0, Blanco standing at 3-1, and Harper at 2-2. Junction and Ingram each have three losses.

Blanco fell to COmfort last Tuesday, October 4, with set scores of 17-25, 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, and 15-6. Abbey Weaver swiped 14 kills to lead the Panthers. Lindsey Jenkins set 39 assists, with Leslie McClinton slamming seven service aces. Alex Gustafson made 40 digs and Kayla Martinez hit three blocks.

On Homecoming Friday, the Lady Panthers were eager for the win, taking out the Lady Ingram Warriors 3-0 in set scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-23. Abbey Eaver again led the team with 13 kills. Lindsey Jenkins set 29 assists. ALex Gustafson, Leslie McClinton, and Reagan Rogers each hit one ace. Alex Gustafson made 16 digs and Kayla Martinez hit three blocks.

The Lady Panthers traveled to Junction after press time on October 11 to begin the second round of district games.
