7th Grade Panthers Capture 1st Victory

The 7th grade Panthers showed great improvement in their 1st victory of the season against the Ingram Warriors on Thursday, October 6.

Early in the first quarter, Kameron Martinez ran for Blanco’s first touchdown. The 2-point conversion was successful. The Panthers took the lead 8-0.

After the Panther defense held the Warriors, the offense went to work again wirh Martinez making a 21-yard run. Quarterback Garrett Seales completed a 10-yard pass to Sebastian Thomas. Seales added a 7-yard run on a QB keeper.

Martinez added a 2nd touchdown for Blanco on a 2-yard run and then ran in for the 2-point conversion to boost the Panther lead to 16-0.

On the kick-off, a swarm of Panthers that included Jeremy Kindla, Pablo Guajardo, Joaquin Olmedo, Jonathan Cambell, Devon Maisano, and Sebastian Thomas tackled the Warrior ball carrier.

In the 2nd half, Kailin Webster and Guajardo made the stop. Webster then snagged a Warrior pass for an interception.

The Ingram defense and the Blanco defense held each teams offense to no score in the second half.

Other good tackles and sacks were made by Jacob Ruiz, Kristofer Enriquez, Noah Wheeler, Hayden Calzoncit and Kameron Martinez.

Logan Parker grabbed an interception as the final moments ticked away. The Panthers won with a final score of16-0.
