County Historical Commission to Honor Veterans at Oct. 24 Annual Meeting, Program

The Blanco County Historical Commission invites everyone to attend its annual meeting on Monday, October 24, at 6pm. The event will be held at the PEC Headquarters at 201 South Avenue S in Johnson City.

A covered dish dinner will be served – meat and drink will be provided, so please being a side dish or dessert to share.

A program entitled “Honoring Our Veterans, Preserving Their Story” will be presented by Duncan McGhee at 7pm. McGhee is an experienced executive with a history of success in business development and management. He joined the United States Army directly out of high school and currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the Texas Veterans Commission, where he drives awareness of the commission and the issues of importance to all Texas veterans.
