7th Grade Rolls Over Bulldogs

The 7th grade football team defeated the Marion Bulldogs on October 13. The Panthers scored in the 1st quarter on a 2-yard run by Kameron Martinez. The 2-point conversion pass from QB Garrett Seales to Sebastian Thomas was successful. In the 2nd quarter, Thomas returned an interception 42 yards for the Blanco touchdown and Martinez rushed for the 2-point conversion.

For the offense, Martinez carried the ball 19 times for 97 yards. Seales connected with Thomas with three passes for 26 yards. Offensive linemen Shawn Burton, Mark Kuebel, Randal Jones, Jacob Fuller, William Ponder and Chase Coggins opened nice holes for the Blanco ball carriers.

Defensively, the Panthers held the Bulldogs to 41 total yards. Outstanding defensive plays were made by Jacob Ruiz, Noah Wheeler, Luis Elizondo, Hayden Calzoncit, Kailen Webster, Logan Parker, and Jeremy Kindla. Stephen Flores recovered a fumble on a kick-off and Thomas made an interception.

The Bulldogs only scored one touchdown and the Panthers secure a 16-6 win.
