Keep Blanco Beautiful

Christmas is in the air… believe it or not, one month from Tuesday Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in Blanco and we will light up the town. Music will play and all the Christmas lights come on at 6:00pm. The Christmas festivities begin. We will be having events for 3 weekends beginning on Friday, November 25. In order to accomplish all this, we still need a lot of help. We are pleased to have help from the high school class working on the lights, plus all the individuals who have been helping. We can certainly use some extra help this coming weekend hanging lights, etc. Please call Retta 833-4720, Judy 833-5663, or Pat 833-1972 for information.

Have you noticed the wildflowers popping up everywhere since the rain? It is amazing how much a little rain will do. Even the yards and flowers are looking so much better. We will be planting new fall and winter plants in Bindseil Park and the containers around town. I noticed Uptown has planted their pansies in the planters on the fence along the walk in front of Uptown Restaurant and the west side of the square. I have certainly enjoyed those all year. They were beautiful all summer. We appreciate Uptown keeping them looking beautiful.

We have certainly enjoyed and appreciated our two newest volunteers for Keep Blanco Beautiful: Maria Maciag and Sabrina Neitch. They have been good helpers.

Just reminding all our residents and merchants in town to decorate for Christmas. We want to make Blanco lit up for the Holiday Trail of Lights. We anticipate a lot more traffic through Blanco just to see our Christmas decorations. Remember, each one of you counts!
