There is so much to do now that it has gotten a little cooler - look for a big drop in temperature when the cold front comes through toward the end of this week, just in time for Halloween!

Next weekend (the 5th) is the BUMC bazaar – come visit me in the bakery (where else would I be?) – and then just meander through the rest of the areas. There will be so many bargains to be had - and don't forget to buy raffle tickets for the quilts! It's open house at The Blanco Settlement too - go see Charlene and check out all her pretties! And then head on down to the opening weekend of Wurstfest!

The following weekend, you can travel from Blanco to Johnson City and back again - there will be the Veterans' Day Parade, two street dances (one here, one there), and food, food, food!

The grand opening of the new wing of the Good Samaritan Center goes on all this week... please stop by and look at what elbow grease and some great building skills can do and donate a little something as well, maybe in honor/memory of Terry Carmichael.

And on a personal note, we have found a great square dance club that is not too far – I am breaking out all my fancy dresses! Talk about making a silk purse out of a sow's ear! But it is so much fun and such good exercise. The club (called Country Cuzzins) is giving lessons right now at the First Methodist Church in Marble Falls on Thursday nights at 6:30 – there won't be any lessons in December, just dancing, but the lessons start up again in January, so if you want to brush up on your allamande left, do-si-do your corner, come join us – there are at least four squares of lesson takers, so you will be in good company! Contact me for more information... I would love to have all my friends dancing with us!
