Stars in Blanco State Park
Wednesday, November 16, 2011 • Posted November 21, 2011

The Stars in the Park program is set for this Saturday, November 19, in Blanco State Park. The party begins at 5:30pm at the pavilion. Admission is the cost of entry into the state park – $4 per adult, kids 12 and under free.

You don’t need to know anything about the skies above–astronomers will be teaching everyone all about what can be seen in our skies.

Be sure to switch your headlights off when approaching the viewing area – it takes the human eye at least 30 minutes to acclimate to darkness. Bring flashlights wrapped in red cellophane to help you get around without ruining your night vision.
