Cub Scouts Visit Sweet Berry Farm
Wednesday, November 23, 2011 • Posted November 23, 2011

The Blanco Cub Scout Pack visited the Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls on Saturday, November 12. We experienced the four-acre Texas-shaped hay maze. The maze has 12 city markers located inside that you have to find. At each marker there is a different shaped hole punch that you are to use to mark your card; if you succeed, you will get a free soda. Before you go in you can look at a map that has the cities marked on a large Texas Map. The attendant suggested that we all take pictures of the map to use while we are in the maze. The boys used their map skills, sense of direction, and the buddy system to complete the maze. While waiting for our hay ride we fed the goats, saw newborn goats, and were able to pet a two-day-old donkey. After the hay ride, we watched the climbing goats (they actually have a tree sky walk for the goats) and had a picnic lunch.
