Starting November 30, the Blanco Library will start having access to e-books. Go to the Central Texas Digital Library Website (ctdl.lib.overdrive.com) to view our e-book catalog. Before you download a book, check out the Quick Start Guide on the menu on the far left side of the screen. It will tell you what software you will need to download for your e-reading device.

When you go to check-out items, make sure you select our library and use your library card number. If you have fines of $10 or more, you will not be able to access your e-book account. Give us a call at 830-833-4280 if you have questions.

Trying to figure out what device you want? Browse www.the-ebook-reader.com and overdrive.com/resources/drc/ to see what would best suit you. Keep an eye out in this paper for future information or stop by the library and pick up a pamphlet.

Need Christmas gifts? Why not buy our pre-wrapped salsa for $7 or donate an angel in your loved one’s name for $3?

Join us for a History of Chocolate program on December 8 at 6 p.m. for a night of relaxation and fun. Steve Gillen of Gillen’s Candies will be hosting this program that explores the history of chocolate and will be providing free samples for everyone who comes.

Need to brush up on the basics of using the internet and setting up your e-mail? Mark your calendar to come into the library on December 5 from 4-6 p.m. for our computer class.

Remember, you can cut down on your overdue fines with boxed or canned goods all this month and donations go to charity. As always, check our website at www.blancolib.org for more information.
