While most of Blanco celebrated the arrival of the Christmas season with festivities around the square, another party took place on River Run down by the Blanco River.

It must have been quite a celebration and, fortunately for the party goers, the local police were busy keeping people safe in the center of town. Over 18 empty Coors cans were found in a heap Saturday morning, evidence of the festivities of the night before. If it was one vehicle with four occupants, someone, if not all, drank at a minimum 48 ounces of beer which would put most people above the legal limit in Texas. If more people helped consume the beverages, the rest of Blanco was a little safer on the streets but no one should be driving after consuming alcohol.

No matter the level of drunkenness, the happy folks left a mess for someone else to clean up. Celebrate responsibly this holiday season and take your trash home!
