PEC to Hold Annual Meeting in Kyle
Wednesday, November 30, 2011 • Posted December 1, 2011

The Pedernales Electric Cooperative Board of Directors voted at its Monday, November 21, regular meeting to hold the Co-op’s 2012 annual meeting in Kyle at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center. The meeting will be held June 23 at 10:30 a.m.

“We have discussed the idea of moving the annual meeting to different areas within our service area on a regular basis,” noted PEC District 7 Director Dr. Patrick Cox. “We hope this will help increase the exposure of the Cooperative and our annual meeting and also encourage additional participation by members.”

The meeting traditionally has been held near PEC’s Johnson City headquarters on the third Saturday in June. Moving the meeting to the fourth Saturday in June first required the Co-op Board to revise PEC’s bylaws, which had mandated that the meeting be held on the third Saturday in June each year.

In addition to standard monthly and committee reports, the Board also received an overview on drafts of the Co-op’s 2012 operating budget and 2012 capital improvement plan from CFO Frank Skube and System Engineering Manager Robert Peterson. The Board will consider voting on the items at the December Board meeting.

The December meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on December 19 at PEC’s E. Babe Smith Headquarters Building in Johnson City. The January Board meeting will be held Tuesday, January 17, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
