On December 6, the Lady Panther varsity team downed the Randolph RoHawks, 61-37, following the JV’s overwhelming 52-12 victory.

Justine Cooley led the varsity with 14 points, followed by Lindsey Jenkins with 11 points. Leslie McClinton and Kayla Martinez each scored ten, followed by Meaghen Seales with eight, Micaela Klein with four, Felicia Skillman with two, and Elise Edmondson and Reagan Rogers each sank one point on a free throw.

Charlsey Smith led the way for the JV team with 24 points. Abbie Culton added eight, with Megan Wier scoring seven, Maria Avila with five, Valerie Hesskew and Kari Graham each scored three, and Jennifer Betancourt shot a basket for two points.

The varsity team played in the Canyon Lake Tournament on December 8-10 and won consolation. Blanco beat Stacey 71-19. Leslie paced the Panthers with 20 points, followed by Lindsey with 12, and Elise Edmondson with nine. In the next game, Canyon Lake barely defeated Blanco, 48-52. Lindsey and Leslie led the team with 14 points each. Micaela and Kayla each added 6 points. The girls next played Luling and won 52-38. Justine led with 15 points, followed by Leslie with 13 and Felicia with nine points.

Senior Lindsey Jenkins and Junior Leslie McClinton made the all-tournament team.
