Blanco vs. Randolph – On December 13, the boys' basketball team went on the road to Randolph for non-district games against the Ro-Hawks. The freshmen and JV teams opened their seasons with resounding wins, while the varsity fell two points shy of a sweep of the action.

Freshmen: Blanco 41, Randolph 29 – The Panthers raced out to an 11-0 lead early on and never looked back. Colton Elrod led the team with 19 points, with Alfredo Amezquita adding 11, and Hunter Goodman putting in 8. Grant Calzoncit was strong defensively, and Dylan Tesch ran the point well throughout the game.

JV: Blanco 49, Randolph 41 – Carlin Green went for a personal-best 23 points in leading the Panther JV to a tough win over Randolph. The Panthers handled the Ro-Hawk trap throughout the game, with deft passing by sophomore Josh McCaslin and freshman Logan Dodd. In addition to Green's 23, Chad Marshall dropped in 11, McCaslin 5, Will Byler and Jubal Elrod scored 4 each, and Chandler Stewart had 3.

Varsity: Randolph 34, Blanco 32 – In a hard-nosed, defensive game, the Ro-Hawks were able to edge out the Panthers late. Both teams struggled to get anything going offensively through three quarters, as the score stood at 21-15 Randolph heading to the fourth. The game went back-and-forth through much of the quarter. The Ro-Hawks held a 34-29 lead with 12 seconds to go when sophomore Brett Champion came off the bench and hit a three to close the deficit to two. After the Panthers forced a turnover on the inbounds to get the ball back, they were unable to convert offensively and were left with a 2-point setback against a quick and tough Randolph team. Junior Ian Ray dominated the stat sheet, pumping in 13 points and adding 17 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals. Juniors Colton Childress and Sam Isenberg each had 3 assists, and Childress added 5 rebounds. Childress, Isenberg, sophomore David Ramirez, senior Tanner Rogers, and junior Quinn Dillard were outstanding throughout the night defensively.

Blanco vs. San Saba – On December 16, the Panthers traveled to San Saba and outlasted the Armadillos, 47-40. Ian Ray paced the team, pouring in 24 points from the post position. Tanner Rogers and Kyle Sauceda each added 6 points, while David Ramirez and Colton Childress made 4 each, and Brett Champion scored 3. Ray snagged 13 rebounds and Sauceda pulled down 9. Sauceda also blocked 7 shots and swiped 5 steals. Rogers made 7 assists to his teammates.

The freshmen also won, 28-23. Ty Royce led the team with 12 points, followed by Alfredo Amezquita with 6. Hunter Goodman and Grant Calzoncit each scored 4 and Devlin Moore added 3.

The JV dropped a close one, ending with a score of 38-45. Chad Marshall scored 11 points to lead Blanco, followed by Josh McCaslin with 9 and Carlin Green with 8. Colton Elrod added 7 points, while Logan Dodd made 2 and Jubal Elrod scored 1.
