Welcome to the new year! We at the Blanco Library appreciate all who helped us raise over $350 for our Angel Tree, sold all of our salsa, and collected over $250 worth of food.

If your New Year’s resolution was to make more friends or pursue a hobby, consider our Chair Yoga Class, Blanco Writers’ Group, Fourth Tuesday Investment Club, art classes, or book clubs.

If your resolution was to expand your technological horizons, we will be having more computer classes throughout the year.

We will be conducting a survey again to see what you are all interested in learning about computers and the internet.

Also, it is tax time again. Most of our free tax forms have come in, so stop by and pick yours up. We will be having free tax assistance the first Thursday and Saturday of each month. Come in or call us to sign up for an appointment. If you have a gross household income of less than $57,000, you are eligible. Each session is one hour and you will need a copy of your 2010 tax return as well as your W-2 and any forms from your bank about interest earned.
