Powerlifting Teams Take Home Trophies - Sports - Blanco County News

The Blanco powerlifting teams demonstrated their strength at the Southland meet in San Antonio on January. The team lifted their way to first place for the boys and third place for the girls.

Winning a first place in their individual weight classes were Phil Alvarado, Mason LeBlanc, Cody Perez, Noah Tresselt, Erica Flores, Monica Flores, and Katherine Biggs. Coming in second were Alex Juarez, Brittan Wagner, and Chris Barnett. Jake Breeding lifted for third place, with Brian Brecka and Jesse Ruiz placing fifth.

The team will return to Southside for meets on January 19, February 2, and February 16. The team is coached by Bill Tesch.
