FFA Members Place at Livestock Show

Several local FFA members made a strong showing at the Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show in Kerrville this past weekend. Jr. FFA member Brenna Wallace led the way, exhibiting the Champion American Breed steer to qualify for the premium sale.

Also placing high and qualifying for the sale on Saturday were Tyler Hardin with a 1st place light weight Southdown market lamb and Hanna Garrett with a 3rd place heavy weight Dark OPB in the market swine show. Hanna also placed 10th with a light weight Dark OPB barrow.

Others placing at this year’s district show included: Carlin Green – 1st place light weight European steer, Asher Haack – 5th place light weight American steer, Kellam Nabers – 5th place middle weight Yorkshire barrow, Trevor Hardin – 5th place heavy weight Duroc and 6th place heavy weight Hampshire barrows and Ty Preiss – 7th place heavy weight Dark OPB barrow.
