Join us at the library on February 14, Valentine’s Day, for our Friends’ Patron Appreciation Day. We will have refreshments in the large conference room available during our open hours just to say, “We love our patrons!”

Also, starting February 13, we will have Curtis Knutson teaching basic computer classes and he will also be available to help you out one-on-one in between classes. Check in with us on Mondays and Wednesdays to get this wonderful free help.

It is tax time again and most of our free tax forms have come in, so stop by and pick yours up today. If we do not have the form out, come up to the front desk and we will make you a free copy of the form that you need. We will be having free tax assistance the first Thursday and Saturday of each month. Come in or call us to sign up for an appointment. If you have a gross household income of less than $57,000, you are eligible. Each session is one hour and you will need a copy of your 2010 tax return as well as your W-2 and any forms from you bank about interest earned. It is great that we can provide our community such great programs, but we need your help.

We are looking for volunteers for Wednesday mornings. Volunteering is a great way to get to know others in your community and get the latest books. Volunteers need to be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, carry, and shelve. Please stop by our front desk to apply.

As always, check our website at www.blancolib.org for more information.
