Harold “Red” Paul Noland

Harold was born October 12, 1946 in Lakefield, MN to Richard Paul Noland and Lois Faith Armstrong. He passed away January 2, 2009 at home in Johnson City.

He graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, MN in 1963. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Larsen as a machinist mate during the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1967. He married Sharon Ann Fleetwood and they had four children: Neshia Lynn, Shawn Ann, Michael Paul and Brandi Lee.

He worked for Shell Chemical in Deer Park, Texas for 21 years. He then moved to the beautiful Hill Country in 1988. He worked for LBJ National Park in Stonewall, Texas where he retired October 14, 2008. “Red” always put family first. He was a loving Husband, Father, Papaw and Friend. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He loved the Lord and it showed in the way he treated people.

In addition to his children, “Red” is survived by his wife Sharon, Johnson City, Mother Lois, brother Victor Noland and his wife Cathy of Winona MN, 10 Grandkids: Dyane Chene, Natosha Lynn, Kassy Renee, Jeramy Jay, Brandon Michael, James David, Trevor Paul Graham, Haydon Clark, Blake Rustin and Richard Paul Eugene, best friends and sons-in-law, Adam Currie, Todd Hiser and Johan and many nieces and nephews.

Services for “Red” were held at the Liberty Lighthouse New Church on the Old River Road in Johnson City on Tuesday, January 6 at 4:00pm.
