Maurine Banks passed away on December 31, 2008. She was 90 years old at the time of her death.

She was born to John William Stobaugh and Sarah Elizabeth Trainer Stobaugh on October 11, 1918 in Blanco, Texas and she lived in Blanco most of her life. She married Martin Banks on August 24, 1942. Maurine is survived by 7 children: Lyn Banks and wife Becky of New Braunfels, TX; Lynda Bauman and husband Gary of Valley Spring, TX; Fred Banks of Blanco, TX; David Banks and wife Joanne of Staples, TX; Debby Waits and husband Lee Ray of Dripping Springs, TX; Dena Bible and husband Ronnie of Richland Springs, TX; Craig Banks and wife Lanae of Dripping Springs, TX; and 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Viewing was held Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco.

Service was held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00pm at Crofts Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Blanco Cemetery in Blanco, Texas.

Pallbearers were Corby Walker, Kyle Walker, Kegan Banks, Ronnie Bible, Randy Bible, Adam Lehmann, Chad Montgomery, and Jason Waits.
