Should Have Done That Yesterday

Getting right with God is something many wish they would have done yesterday, they plan on doing tomorrow, and they are determined not to do today!

"Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning , and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you" (James 4:8-10). When God and sin are not taken seriously people develop a frivolous attitude about life and especially about anything of a spiritual nature. These few verses emphasize a seeking for God, and a sincere Godly sorrow that leads to true repentance, with the removal of all pride before the throne of God.

A very important thing to remember about life and sin is that they can both be very deceptive. Sin has it's pleasure, and life can seem to be played out as we desire without consequences. Life without God is the greatest of tragedies. Man ultimately chokes on his own vile behavior, and is left with a hole in his soul that only God can fill. As one sows so shall he reap. Pay day some day. It's inevitable. If not in this life, then the one to come. Sin is hurtful to us and to others, our loved ones, family and friends. Many don't seem to care, determined to do their thing regardless. God gives a certain amount of freedom in all of this. He does however reserve the right to have the final word.
