On December 20, the American Legion Memorial Highway Post and Unit 352 hosted a special Christmas Party for several local military children of deployed service members. Santa and his helper (Post Sergeant-at-Arms Oscar Segura and daughter Veronica) joined the party to pass out gifts for all the children. A special Christmas dinner was served by the Auxiliary, and the children had plenty of time to play with their new gifts.

The Post and Auxiliary are looking for all of the military children who live here in Blanco while their parent(s) are deployed. We would like to have a current list of the names, addresses, and phone numbers for future events. We will be hosting a family get-together soon for those who have military family members deployed and live in the Blanco area. If you are or know someone who has a military family member deployed, please contact either Donnea Simon at 833-4460 or Christine Huguelet at 833-5211.
