Starting in March, we will begin our First Friday Creature Feature story time for kids. Members of our wonderful Blanco State Park will be hosting a special reading time on the first Friday of every month featuring an animal that you might see in your backyard. We have story time every Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. presented by Miss Joan, but these park members are giving us an extra hand with this program. Be sure to bring your little ones in on Friday mornings.

We have tax forms! Stop by the library today to pick up your tax forms; if we do not have the form you need on our display, we can give you a free copy of it. We will be having free tax assistance the first Thursday and Saturday of each month. Come in or call us to sign up for an appointment.

Also, we have free classes and one-on-one computer help provided by Technology for All, presented by Curtis Knutson. Check in with us on Mondays and Wednesdays to get this wonderful free help. Monday’s classes are intermediate level and Wednesday’s classes are for beginners.

Top Five Books from the New York Times Best Sellers List that we have are:

Kill Shot by Vince Flynn

Private: #1 Suspect by James Patterson

11/22/63 by Stephen King

Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D.James

Home Front by Kristin Hannah

It is great that we can provide our community with such great programs, but we need your help. We are looking for volunteers for Wednesday mornings. Volunteering is a great way to get to know others in your community and get the latest books. Volunteers need to be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, carry, and shelve. Please stop by our front desk to apply. As always, check our website at www.blancolib.org for more information.
