The sun rose on August 15, 1930, in Huntsville, Kentucky, and the sun set on February 28, 2012, in Austin, Texas.

Bill is survived by three daughters, Lynda Cochran of Blanco, Texas, Debbie Trowbridge of Lytton Springs, Texas, and Peggy Johnson of Austin, Texas; one son, Sam Clawson; three sisters, Eva Haycraft of Hardy, Arkansas, Ida Alaxander of Arkansas, and Kitty Bell of Houston, Texas; one brother, Payton Lynn of Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a lot of good friends.
