Wednesday, March 14, 2012 • Posted March 15, 2012

Blanco resident Virginia Kloster is proud to announce that her 16-year-old granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Anderson, of Omaha, Nebraska, has been selected to be a “basket carrier” for the athletes competing in the Olympic Swim Trials in Omaha during the month of June. Crystal is a junior at Benson High School in Omaha and has the distinction of being named “Most Improved Swimmer of the Year” for her school and will have her name inscribed on a plaque to remain at the school. She was also voted “Most Important Swimmer of the Year” by her fellow teammates on Benson’s swim team and has received an individual trophy for that, as well as having her name inscribed on a trophy that will remain at Benson High.
