Steubing Enters Running for Blanco County Sheriff
Wednesday, March 28, 2012 • Posted March 29, 2012

For those voters in Blanco County who don’t know me or of my race for the office of Sheriff of Blanco County, I am taking this opportunity to give you some information regarding my qualifications for the job.

I’m a lifelong, 5th generation rancher, working mostly the family property in north Bexar County (originated in 1848), but I always felt the calling of law enforcement. I’ve been a constable for eight years, reserve deputy sheriff in Comal County for eleven years, and eight years as constable of Blanco County and I fell in love with being able to serve my community in such a meaningful and direct method. With all my duties on the ranch I found that this position was as much as I could responsibly fulfill. In 2008, my father and I sold the cattle and retired from ranching. Now my full attention can be devoted to law enforcement.

I have four children, three of whom live on our ranch in Blanco County, along with my mother, Helen. We also have seven grandchildren and another on the way. Pam and I have been married for 39 years. I am faithfully tied to this county and hope to improve things for everyone.
