4-H Competes at BB Gun Invitational

The Blanco County 4-H Shooting Sports group traveled to Manor, Texas, on March 3 to compete in the 2012 James Harlow NRA BB Gun Invitational. Despite the cold outdoor air and the strong wind, the shooters represented Blanco County very well. The shooters competed in the following four shooting positions: prone, standing, sitting, and kneeling.

Every Blanco County shooter brought home at least one medal and they are as follows: Brian Janvier – Pre-Junior 1st Place Sitting and 2nd Place Kneeling; Lynlea Janvier – Pre-Junior 2nd Place Prone; Hailey Bickley – Junior 1st Place Prone, 3rd Place Standing and 1st Place Kneeling; Hugh Galloway – Junior 3rd Place Prone and 3rd Place Kneeling; Brendan Anderson – Senior 3rd Place Prone, 1st Place Kneeling and 2nd Place Sitting; Jenna Vasquez – Senior 1st Place Standing; and Caleb Dowdy – Senior 1st Place Prone, 2nd Place Standing, 2nd Place Kneeling, 1st Place Sitting and Senior Aggregate 1st Place Overall.
