Trash-Off Returns This Saturday

The Great American Clean-up, Blanco version, is this weekend! If you can not join the community effort at 9 a.m. in Bindseil Park, take some time to pick-up litter that has strayed onto your property! Plant some colorful flowers! With all the green in our yards the flowers will really pop.

You have the rest of this week (until Friday the 13th) to take bulk items to the city yard for disposal. Remember, you have to pick up a voucher at City Hall first. If you are unable to transport your own junk, let the City know and you will be put on a list for Saturday pick-up in front of your house. Your fellow Blanco citizens are volunteering their time to help. This is your last chance to conveniently dispose of your stuff (no tires). The next opportunity is April 21 at the Transfer Station south of Johnson City. The Transfer Station will take tires for a fee.

There is a 50% chance of rain on Saturday. Texans don’t mind a little rain! So, unless it is pouring cats and dogs we will still have out clean-up activities. If there are thunderstorms or it is a really drenching downpour, the clean-up will be postponed to the next weekend (April 21). See you Saturday!
