Be sure to bring your kids by the library over the next two weeks to check out our butterfly chrysalises. They will be coming out of their chrysalises sometime during the next week. We are raising painted lady butterflies to be released at 1:00 p.m. at EmilyAnn Theater’s annual Butterfly Festival on the 21st in Wimberley.

Tickets for our Annual Friends’ Dinner and a Movie are going fast! Be sure to get your ticket from the library or from Liz at her shop, On the Square. This Southern Style dinner on April 20 will be catered by our wonderful renowned chef, Sibby Barret. Remember, this is a social and BYOB event at the Old Blanco County Courthouse at 6:00 p.m. We will be showing the movie The Help at the library after dinner around 8:00.

Remember also, we have free computer classes every Monday and Wednesday. We have free one-on-one help and class-room setting help. There are intermediate class levels on Mondays and basics on Wednesday. Come and learn – brush up on what you want to know.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will have some altered hours. On Thursday, April 12, we will be opening at 1:00 p.m. instead of our usual 12:00 p.m. due to a staff meeting. We will close early at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, April 20, so that we can finish preparing for the Dinner and a Movie at the Old Courthouse.

Four Best Seller books being added to our collection:

• The Descendants by Kaul Hemmings

• I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

• Fair Game by Patricia Briggs

• Guilty Wives by James Patterson
