A little girl was walking home from school during a thunderstorm. Her mother was concerned and was walking to meet her daughter. She saw her daughter skipping and laughing as she walked home in the storm. When there was a lightening flash the girl would stop and smile. Her mother grabbed her and rushed her into the house. When the lightening continued, the little girl said, “God's not finished taking my picture." Certainly the plan of salvation in Christ makes clear that our Father in heaven is very interested in us and loves us.
One of the things that God has provided for us through Jesus Christ is access. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" (John 14:6). When Jesus died on the cross the veil in the temple was rent from the top to the bottom. All Christians have access through the death of Christ to the throne of God. Christ is the one mediator between God and man (I Timothy 2:5). Access to heaven is not through nature, through the creeds of men, the works of men, or the names of men, but through Jesus Christ. Come and learn of Him.
