Boys Golf Team Shoots for Gold

The Blanco Panther boys golf team outscored the second place Ingram Warriors by 111 strokes to secure the 8-AA district championship on Monday, April 2, at Vaaler Creek in Blanco and Tuesday, April 3, at Schreiner in Kerrville. Blanco scored a 698 two-day total, with Ingram shooting an 809 total. Tanner Rogers paced the Panthers, shooting 169 to place second individually. TJ Hardin grabbed third with a 174 and James Leachman placed fifth with a score of 179. Lane Hoelting and Kyle Gray each scored a 180 stroke total.

Emmalee Arlitt and Presley Savarino qualified for regionals as individuals with Emmalee placing third and Presley placing tenth.

The Blanco golfers will compete at regionals April 16 and 17, with the boys teeing off in Odessa and the girls in Midland.
