Volunteer Training at State Park
Wednesday, April 18, 2012 • Posted April 19, 2012

It’s almost time for the busy summer season at Blanco State Park and volunteers are needed.

Many of you expressed an interest in helping out from monitoring bluebird boxes to picking up trash and everything in between.

Well it’s time to learn everything you need to know to be part of Blanco State Park’s volunteer force. Three training sessions are scheduled in the next few weeks: Tuesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 26 at 5:30pm and Saturday, May 5 at 3pm. Meet at the parking area near the campground by the pavilion. If you can attend, please email the park’s volunteer coordinator, Mary Alice Partain at and let her know when you plan to attend and what you are interested in doing.

Don’t miss a change to help the park and have some fun this summer. If you have any questions, you can also contact Connie Barron at 512-750-6362.
