The weather on Thursday began cloudy with sprinkles of rain, but the blue skies arrived just in time for the joint mixer on Thursday evening, as did a large crowd. Our hosts, Vitalogy Skincare and The Preserve at Walnut Springs, exceeded our expectations with fabulous food provided by Sullivan Street Catering out of Blanco along with wines from Becker Vineyards and beer from Pecan Street Brewing. We played a great game of Network Bingo, which allowed our guests the opportunity to meet nine different businesses from each chamber.

The evening culminated with the drawing for the door prizes. The winners were as follows: two Celebrating Home gift bags-Janet Mellene (Cattleman’s National Bank, Blanco) and Cheryl Eckenrode (T&E Services, Johnson City), two complimentary background checks by Affordable Searches-Pamela Capps-Blanco and Phillip Friddell-Blanco/Johnson City, Vitalogy Skincare skin product gift basket-Sara Silver (Affordable Searches, Johnson City), Vitalogy Skincare Custom Facial-Pat Schmitt (Texas Balloon Rides, Blanco), Vitalogy Skincare Obagi skin care kit-Kristi Kelley (Texas Healthcare Solutions, Blanco), Uptown Blanco Restaurant & Art Center gift basket-Zena Stetke Howe (Johnson City), Vitalogy Skincare Laser Hair Removal Package valued at $900-Penny Thomas (Sullivan Street Catering, Blanco) and the iPad 2 valued at $729-Kayla Wallace (Hanks, Wallace & Associates, Blanco).

Congratulations to all the winners. Our hosts Vitalogy Skincare and The Preserve at Walnut Springs, and those who donated door prizes, made the event possible. Glynn Miller donated his time and equipment to take the best photos ever at our chamber functions and various goings-on about town.

The mixers are a great way to meet other business owners and promote your business. If you haven’t been to one you might want to come check it out next time – we have too much fun!
