Extension Education Members Participate in Conference

The Extension Education Association recently met in San Marcos with 190 members attending. Blanco County was represented with eleven members and our county agent attending. The EEA club purposes are to provide education that families can use in daily life, support 4-H programs, develop leadership, and provide scholarships.

Those attending from Blanco County were: front row: Dot Warrington, Gwen Risinger, and Peggy Aldridge. Second row: Dolores Bevers, Gretchen Sanders, Leona Van de Velde, Glenn Bishop, Mary Nabers, and Barbara Wilson. Back row: Jan Clemons, Judy King, and Cerise Spivey.

Various awards were presented and one of Blanco’s group, Dot Warrington, was honored as the second oldest attendee.

The guest speaker was Dr. Calvin Finch with San Antonio Water Systems, who spoke on growing vegetables and conserving water.
