Our Friends of the Library annual Dinner and a Movie was a big success. Our tickets sold out and there was not a seat to be had upstairs at the Old Blanco County Courthouse! You helped us to raise $2,000! We also had a full house to watch The Help. We apologize for the cramped quarters, but we did our best to fit everyone in. It was a fun night that could not have happened without Sibby Barrett’s cooking, her support staff, our volunteers, and everyone from the community who joined us.

The Butterfly Festival this last Saturday was also a hit. It was a perfect day for releasing the butterflies and it was amazing to see so many children. It was precious to see children walking around with slices of cantaloupes with our butterflies on them. We could not have had the chance to raise butterflies without the wonderful support of the Pautz family. The Pautz family made a unique and educational donation.

Starting in May, on the second and fourth Thursday of the month, we will have an Anime night for teens. This will be a night for teens to watch anime movies/shows, enjoy refreshments, and visit. Our first movie is Fruits Basket, starting at 5:30pm.
