Blanco defeated Ozona in a 2 out of 3 series at 11-5 and 5-1 to advance to the Area playoffs against Anson this weekend.

Tied at 5 in the 5th inning, the Panthers scored 4 to go up 9-5 and pull away to get the victory.

Kyle Sauceda came in relief to pick up the win, striking out 7 in 3-1/3 innings.

Colton Childress and Kyle Gray both tripled, and Wes Copenhaver and Kyle Sauceda each had 2 hits.

In the second game James Leachman went the distance, going 7 striking out 8 and scattering 5 hits.

The Panthers managed only 4 hits on the day but played well defensively.
