Gentle readers:

"The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain." But we are glad it's raining in Blanco (and the surrounding areas)!

We need to lift up lots of prayers for Leon Coffee! He is having some serious health issues right now. I personally have never seen a smile light up a face like Leon's can and listening to him laugh makes you want to laugh right along with him. I had heard about him years before I met him, but it was certainly worth the wait! Hang in there, Leon - we've got your back!

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ken and Margo and their families right now, and Ed and Linda Casburn as well.

The Annual Tiny West Bullriding is this Saturday and I will be sitting at the gate taking tickets, so you can come see me, move into another ticket line, or avoid the place altogether, depending on how you feel about me!

My goat saga has ended. I had to give them back/away. They got in the garden one too many times, and there are only so many times you can lose your cucumbers without somebody losing their temper! I miss them - and the dogs have nothing to chase now... I am now looking for an outside pet that can't jump six feet in the air but that can run real fast.

And don't forget to have your animals snake-vaccinated if you can. I just found out that pets really do get bitten. I never had snakes in my yard in Scottsdale. I couldn't have afforded them!

Happy birthday to one of my favorite ladies, Dolores Cox!

And my pretty regular shout-out to Ada Cooley and TD and Leona.
