For the summer, the Technology for All program will start a job skill series program at the Blanco Library. Classes include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and then move into resume writing and job searching practices. There will 8 Word classes through the month of June on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. starting June 4th. In July, we will start presenting 8 classes on Excel, and so on in the following months. All classes are held at the Blanco library, 1118 Main Street in the Large Conference Room. Call the library at 830-833-4280 to sign up in advance. You must have a valid e-mail address as well as have some typing and computer skills.

The free classes are offered by Technology For All (TFA), a Texas non-profit organization. The classes are taught by Blanco resident and TFA Training Specialist Curtis Knutson. The computers and classes are made possible by a federal grant through the Department of Commerce’s National Technology and Information Administration as part of the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP). The program expands broadband access and adoption in communities across America.
