Panthers Topple Wall in Regional Quarterfinals

The panthers baseball team defeated the Wall Hawks in a best 2-of-3 game series on Thursday, May 17 and Saturday, May 19 with game scores of 16-2, 4-8, and 17-16.

In the first game of the series James Leachman and Kyle Sauceda pitched for the win. Weston Copenhaver was hit-by-pitch 3 times, with 4 other Blanco batters getting hit-by-pitch and drawing 7 walks. Colton Childress and Josh McCaslin had 2 hits with Copenhaver, Sam Isenberg, Tyler Hardin, and Pete Chalico. Each of them added a single.

The Saturday games were a battle with the Hawks winning game 2 and the Panthers holding on in game 3 to win by a single run in a shootout. The Panthers advance to the Regional Semifinals with a season record of 25-9.
