Wednesday, June 13, 2012 • Posted June 14, 2012

Wimberley Valley Genealogical Society will hold its last meeting of the 2011-2012 year on Wednesday, June 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Wimberley Village Library meeting room. Everyone is invited to hear our speaker, Muriel Jackson, who will speak on "Tombstones I Have Loved!" The subject for the meeting is 'Developing Your Summer Genealogy Plan of Action'. Muriel will tell us about her experiences in Maine on genealogy field trips and material on how to plan and pack for such expeditions. You are in for a treat to hear Muriel tell about her experiences.

Muriel K. Jackson joined WVGS two weeks after she moved to Wimberley in 1996 and has been an active member ever since. A former WGVS president, her genealogy research centers in Maine where some of her most picturesque and puzzling colonial era tombstones are located. This will be her eighth or ninth presentation for the Society.

We will have a mid-summer 'get-together', date and time to be determined at June meeting. W.V.G.S. will begin its new year, 2012-2013 on Wednesday, September 19 at 6:30pm. For further information please call 512-847-2034.
