Edie Brickell & New Bohemians Return to Headline Second Annual Bands for Band Music Festival

Blanco, Texas – The second annual Bands for Band Music Festival will be held on July 7, 2012 at Yett Memorial Park in Blanco, Texas. The festival is organized by the Blanco Band Boosters, and is a benefit for the Blanco High School Band.

Doors open at 12:00 pm and the event concludes at midnight. Tickets prices are $15.00 The show is open to all ages. Ages 5 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or advance tickets are available online at

Organizers are excited to announce that this year’s festival will feature the return of headlining act Edie Brickell and New Bohemians. Ms Brickell and her musical companions provided a great evening of music during last years festival, jamming on their well known hits, as well as an improvised song about Blanco.

The complete line up for the festival includes a wide variety of acts from the country sounds of Cameran Nelson and Guardrail Damage Ahead, to the Cajun and Zydeco styling of Zydeco Blanco. “Texas blues guitar legend” Bobby Mack, who is a Blanco resident will be offering up a full helping of his traditional Texas blues sounds as well. Rounding out the bill will be two Dallas based groups Fever in the Funkhouse, and the Hunter Hendrickson Band.
