Callie Culton and Leslie McClinton received All-State honors from the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) this past week.

Callie pitches and plays 3rd base for the Panthers and Leslie anchors the infield at shortstop.

Both juniors this year, Callie and Leslie were statistical leaders on the Panthers team that advanced in playoffs to the Regional Semi-finals this year.

All-State recognition runs in the family for both Culton and McClinton.

Callie follows her brother Brandon Culton with this recognition. Brandon, a 2003 BHS graduate, received All-State middle linebacker honors his junior year in 2001 playing on the State Championship team.

Leslie’s brother Travis McClinton, a 2011 BHS graduate, received All-State tight end honors his sophomore year in 2008, on the State Semi-finalist team.

The girls were nominated for this award by Blanco softball coach Michael Seales. Two nominees from each school are then selected by a committee of coaches from the TGCA.
