New Pastor for New Hope

New Hope Lutheran Church is inviting you to meet their new interim pastor, the Rev. Ann Koopmann, this Sunday July 8, 2012. There will be a reception starting at 5:30 pm at the church parish hall. Sandwiches, chips, drinks, and dessert will be served. The whole community is welcome.

Pastor Koopmann is a trained intentional interim pastor, whose specialized ministry is to serve churches who have lost a pastor due to retirement, moving to a new congregation, or death. Pastor Koopmann will help New Hope transition to calling a new permanent pastor. New Hope is the ninth congregation Pastor Koopmann will serve on an interim basis in her thirteen years of ordained ministry She has served congregations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming. In addition to parish ministry, she spent four years as a hospice chaplain for Southern Care Hospice. Her seminary training was at the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest in Austin, TX. Prior to seminary, she was an educator who worked as a classroom teacher, coach, and librarian.

She states, “I am excited about becoming part of the Blanco community and serving God by sharing Christ’s love with all the new people I will meet.”

Pastor Koopmann will be preaching and presiding at worship this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. All are also welcome to hear our new minister bring God’s word to God’s people.

New Hope Lutheran is located at 9th and Elm, one block west of Hwy 281 (Main Street), behind the Shamrock Station.
