Housing Authority Offers Community Programs

Anyone who would like to join in on the Chair Exercises please feel FREE to join in. There will be no chair exercises on July 5th, 2012. Cindy Leonard, RN, (Wesley Nurse) will return for our chair exercises and the next ones are for July 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, 26th, and the 31st. Everything starts at 9:30 am and screening, immediately following the exercises, will still be available every Thursday. Please mark your calendar! This all happens at the Johnson City Housing Authority at 304 S. Ave. F., Johnson City, TX. And remember this is FREE for anyone, men or women and we have the nurse to make sure that we are okay.. Come and join us.

Catholic Charities has returned. This is FREE help for anyone, no matter the age. Catholic Charities of Central Texas will be here on Thursday, July 5th, 2012 and on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012. Please feel free to phone the number below if you have anything that needs to be resolved soon. Catholic Charities of Central Texas is providing application materials and assistance in completing applications for CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program), Medicaid, SNAP (formerly Food Stamps), TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), Medicare Savings Program, and Long-Term Care Services. This service will be available at the Johnson City Housing Authority Community Room located at 304 S. Ave F, Johnson City, Texas. Persons may schedule appointments or be seen as walk-ins from 9:30 am to NOON. For appointments or additional information contact Toni Aguirre, Outreach Worker at (512) 940-4845. It is always best to schedule an appointment with Tony so she can tell you what paperwork she needs from you.
