Cowboy Church Celebrates Series Success

Just as the last young cowboy and cowgirl rode out of the arena, the skies opened up with over an inch of much welcome rain. It all fell within such a short few minutes that as the horses were hurriedly loaded and pickup motors started, it was too late to pull away from the arena without the help of the Church Tractor. The long-awaited awards ceremony was moved inside the Church due to the welcome blowing rain storm. When the cowboys and cowgirls received the final tally, the winners of the day selected their awards. Then, five youth who "Rode hard for Jesus" during the last three month's play days were awarded their buckles. A special recognition award, a beautiful leather and silver show halter, was presented by Howard Stevenson in memory of his beloved wife to Senior cowgirl Daniel McCarthy. The awards ceremony closed with prayer praising God for keeping the youth and their mounts safe, for the much-needed rain, and especially for cowboy Kyle Kramer, Glen Rust and the church tractor who pulled the horses and rigs out of the mud; and headed them home with grateful hearts for all their Blessings.
