Sky High Turnout for Methodist VBS

Blanco United Methodist Church hosted around 75 children for their Sky-themed Vacation Bible School last week. This year at BUMC, VBS kids learned that “Everything is Possible with God!” in many ways. During Imagination Station, they were taught to always trust God through fun experiments, such as watching film canisters explode and hoverballs float in the air. The children enjoyed Bible stories about the many miracles Jesus performed through the interactive Wild Blue Bible Adventures. They ran and played games that taught trust in each other and in God. BUMC’s Sky VBS also reinforced the importance of missionary work in our local community. The children and families brought toys, clothes, furniture, and canned goods to be donated to local charities in Blanco County. “It was a blessing to see so many children turn out for VBS this year, and to watch them having fun and really learning to trust God,” Cydney Schwarzlose, BUMC VBS Co-Director, said. The week ended with a fun program of singing and fellowship with the children and their families. “We want to say a big thank you to all the parents for allowing us at BUMC to spend time with their children, and also thank you to all our volunteers, it was so wonderful to see everyone come together to make the week a success,” Holly Johnson, BUMC VBS Co-Director, said. Blanco United Methodist Church hopes that this week has taught us all “No Matter What…Trust God!”
