GVTC Brings 21st Century Communications to Blanco
Chamber to Hold Ribbon Cutting on Thursday

GVTC communications is now connecting service to customers in Blanco. The company announced in September 2011 it would expand its fiber network throughout the community. The company is offering all of its services in Blanco including cable television, Internet, phone and security monitoring.

GVTC’s cable TV offers more than 275 channels of digital quality picture and sound, along with a huge selection of Video on Demand, Pay-Per-View and Music Choice. GVTC’s fiber powered broadband delivers a variety of reliable Internet connection speeds, including up to 80/20 Mbps, which is the fastest in the Hill Country.

GVTC will bring service to Blanco customers over two phases. The first phase is underway and will connect more than 650 homes and businesses. The second phase is scheduled to begin September 2012 and will bring a fiber connection to another 244 rooftops.

The Blanco Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome GVTC to the community. It takes place at GVTC’s Central Office building located at 1242 Elm St.
